5 Inexpensive Ways to Remodel Your Home This Weekend

Don’t you just love looking up ways to remodel, decorate, fix up your home? I can spend hours just browsing online finding fun and inexpensive ways to redo my living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, etc. So, I figured some of you might be interested in some ideas.

We all know that most remodeling jobs cost THOUSANDS of dollars and let’s be honest, ain’t nobody got time for that. If you do, hey that’s great!! Power to ya!! Even if you have the money but rather spend it on other things like traveling and pumpkin spice lattes all season long, that’s great! Keep reading.

Add temporary backsplash tile in your kitchen

When I heard of this, I was shocked! I can’t believe I didn’t know about it until this year. This is a great way to spice up your kitchen without spending too much money. It’s fairly easy to apply and easy to remove if you change your mind. That’s one thing I love, because sometimes you want a certain vibe and, in a few years, you’ll outgrow it or something. So this is perfect if you’re always renovating and changing your mind about decorating like me.

Here is the one I’m currently looking at, click here.

Temporary/Removable wallpaper

This one is my favorite and I am currently on the hunt for some wallpaper to fit my aesthetic in my home. Some of the website’s I’m searching on are Chasing Paper and Tempaper. This is a perfect option to enhance a certain room without breaking the bank. You can also easily remove it and change it later down the line without feeling too bad because it didn’t cost much. Making a room stand out with a unique touch can be really appealing. A great option for any room in the house.

Paint Your Cabinets

You’ve probably heard this one before and so I’ll tell you again, repaint those cabinets of yours! You don’t need to spend so much money replacing your chipped, old cabinets. One thing you should make sure is to pick quality paint, so you don’t have to redo it in a few months, especially if you’re doing it yourself vs hiring a professional.

Replace cabinet drawer hardware

If your cabinets are squeaking, it’s maybe time to replace the hardware. This happens due to cabinets being opened and closed continuously. So instead of replacing the whole things, just go to your local home improvement store and find compatible knobs, hinges, and pulls. Or you can just remove your cabinet doors altogether. This can be easily done on a weekend.

Update your Lighting

Light changes A LOT!!! Go to your local improvement store and purchase LED bulbs for any fixture you have. This will cut down on your utility bill while still giving you that amazing glow we all want. While you’re at it, you can decide to buy some newer modern fixtures too, that will obviously cost a little more but adds more character to your home which in return can add more value.

So that doesn’t sound too bad right? If you do anything, let me know, I’d love to see your transformations. Also good to note that anything that makes your house look better, can add value. Not as much as you’d like but it does add a little something as long as you don’t go for a very OUT THERE design. Minimalist and modern decor is so hot right now, houses are selling for more that are like this.

As always thank you for reading, I appreciate you and your time.
