The Highway 17 Commute: What San Jose Buyers Should Actually Know Before Moving to Santa Cruz County
If you’re thinking about moving from San Jose to Santa Cruz County, there’s one question that almost always comes up first. “How bad is the
In my blue skirt I feel ______
It’s no secret that I love to dress up and share my outfit with you guys, but do you know why I do? I think the root of it started when I was in my pre-teens. I was super insecure and found a love for dressing up to feel better. It started with cut off dickies like Johnny Knoxville then entered my Avril Lavigne phase, think Skater Boy meets Slipknot, super super weird.
As I got older my style evolved and kept changing throughout the years but one thing that always remained was my feelings about clothes and how clothes made me feel.
You see, dressing up is not about pleasing people, it’s never been that for me. I knew when I dressed up nice and walked out into the world, I was ready to conquer anything my way, with high-heels and all. I feel confident, strong, motivated, overall just fucking good.

Everyone knows the saying, “dress for success” and I really believe that. When I’m dressed really poorly, I feel lazier, don’t have any motivation, just overall want to be a couch potato.
When I do my make-up, dress up cute, I want to do more things. I’m not saying to walk around in stilettos in your home and be done up as if you’re going out for drinks. I’m saying just dress yourself to where you feel your best.

For me, I feel the best in skirts. Something about them just brings me joy. This beautiful skirt from Chicwish was what I needed to cheer me up. I had a long day at work and didn’t want to go shoot content but as soon as I put on that skirt I felt a little better, then I threw on the shirt, shoes, and jewelry and I took one look in the mirror and said to myself, wow this looks good…I feel good.
We then went out to shoot and I just felt like a million bucks. Twirling around, laughing, enjoying myself in that moment. Realizing that life is beautiful and that you must always move forward and to me, I always want to move forward looking fabulous. I am working so hard on accepting myself, flaws and all. It’s not easy but not impossible either. Wearing beautiful clothes and dressing up has always helped me feel happier, prettier, stronger, and more ambitious.

So next time you’re dressing yourself for the day, as yourself, in my blue skirt, I feel _______.
As always thank you for reading, I appreciate you and your time.
xoxo
